Creating Your Own Path (sample)

Published on 8 September 2024 at 22:56

I realize I gave you tools to use to create your path, and it occurred to me that an actual sample may be a better idea of how to implement your plan:

Step 1) Intention or purpose - I Mandie wish to help people who have suffered from sexual assault and abuse. The reason is, that I have been put through over 2 decades of traumatic abuse and am a SURVIVOR! I feel that because I can help, I should help those who cannot help themselves.

Step 2) My Written Plan - help those suffering and prevent future suffering I put together my website/blog to educate, motivate, and teach others they are not ALONE.  I feel the biggest challenge is letting others know that there is HOPE for them. Being a Preschooler when my abuse started, until my mid-twenties I have experience in what it takes to survive the world I grew up in.  So by posting in my blog some of the events I went through, I created a bond between me and my clients.  I also included information about certain types of mental illnesses, allowing them to see the symptoms and seek help. I created a small team of people to assist me in carrying out my dream.

Step 3) A Vehicle - meaning how will I reach my audience and correlate with them to keep them on track and inspired to go through the process?  My vehicle is my website/blog.  I can add information rapidly and correspond with those who need it.  I can direct them to professionals to further assist them in overcoming the demons they face.

Step 4) Continual Effort - I understand that any worthy goal requires discipline and effort. So even when the going gets tough as it always will. I have a team to help me through any hardships that may befall me.  Most importantly to keep me on track, and make sure I follow my heart.

Step 5) Belief - I believe that I will make an impact on those who are or have been abused. I will carry out my beliefs by adopting mental practices like meditation, counseling, and journaling to keep me in touch with who I am.  Most importantly as a reminder of my INTENTIONS.

Step 6) Accountability - I understand my limitations and will always strive to be there for my clients,  I promise to celebrate the small wins and milestones I set out for myself.  I will also hold myself accountable for any setbacks that occur redouble my efforts and understand that I am only human.

Step 7) Mastery - I put a saying on my website: "When the student is ready the teacher will appear. When the student is truly ready. The teacher will Disappear." - Lao Tzu Meaning once you have mastered your goal you should instruct others to be successful. So you will be the teacher. Without Mastery, you will never feel confident enough to attain your dream. Once you become the MASTER you control your destiny.

Now you can elaborate more on these steps, and frame them or put them somewhere where you can always refer back to them.  Either way, it will help you no matter where your journey leads.

Always in my Prayers,

Mandie.
