Taking Your First Step

“We need to accept that we won’t always make the right decisions, that we’ll screw up royally sometimes – understanding that failure is not the opposite of success, it’s part of success.”

— Arianna Huffington

Many of us feel stuck. Stuck in our predicament, a bad job or a bad relationship or any combination. The point is at one time in our lives, we all feel trapped. We feel "comfortably numb," meaning we create our own comfort zone.

Even if it is uncomfortable, we become attached knowing what to expect.  It is the unknown that we are afraid of, that is what immobilizes us.  We would rather continue down our miserable path, even though we hate it, because it is what we know.

Many of us are aware of our predicament, we just have no one to show us how to move on.

Many of you have heard the phrase "sick and tired of being sick and tired."  This is the stage of acceptance when you realize that you MUST do something to get out of your rut.  Even if you are afraid, you are willing to take a chance to move forward.

I spent almost 30 years being a victim of sexual assault and abuse. Growing up as a pre-schooler to my mid 30's, abuse was all I knew and it was what I was comfortable with.  Even though deep down I hated it.

Trust me I hate admitting it took me a long time to get out of my rut. I am grateful for my husband for showing me life can be better. If it wasn't for him I would not be here today.  :)

My goal is to give you ammunition and a support system to move you from a place of despair to a happier place.

My HAND is extended waiting for you to contact me.  I understand you may not be ready for change, it took me awhile to get there.

I will promise you to give you my very best to assist you in growing into the person you want to become.

Prayers,

Mandie
